Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring 2 years of nursing experience and TNCC certification in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center.

Details

• Night shift in a 101-bed Emergency Dept, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
• Unit supported by techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
• Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors for equipment
• Documentation completed in Cerner
• Scheduling requires every other weekend with no block scheduling commitments
• No floating outside the ED, but must be open to floating across all ED sections

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start, with ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting required
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) required
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
