Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 32-bed Medical Surgical unit caring for young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week contract assignment
• May float to other acute care units including Ortho/Trauma and Observation units
• Cerner EHR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required within 30 days of start
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience required
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care including implementing and monitoring patient care plans
• Coordinates care across disciplines and communicates patient condition to the healthcare team
• Carries out physician and nursing orders and assists with discharge planning
• Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and Christmas
