Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of experience and the ability to float across multiple Stepdown, Med/Surg, and Telemetry units.

Details

• Resource Pool position covering all Med/Surg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units within the facility
• Acute care setting at a Level 1 trauma center
• Units include Stepdown, Med/Surg, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General Surgery, Oncology, and Long-term Antibiotic Infusion
• Patient ratios are 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:6 for Med/Surg/Tele
• Each unit has up to 34 beds
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour weekend dayshifts (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon), 7a-730p
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• 48 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be well-rounded and strong across Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General Medicine, and Oncology specialties
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Float across all Med/Surg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units as needed based on facility demand
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Previous permanent staff must have a 2-year break before returning as travelers
• Previous travelers who completed a full year must wait 2 years before returning
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position within the health system at a time
