Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring AZ or compact RN licensure and 1-2 years of acute care OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit with 6 ORs and 1 endo suite
• Day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with every other weekend required for on-call only
• Call requirements evenly shared among OR RNs, typically starting at 5:00 PM
• May float to PACU to serve as a second RN
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Patient population is 70% adult, 28% geriatric, and 2% pediatric
• Caseload is 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient
• Uses new Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, processors and monitors, Steris beds, and Hana table
• Uses MEDHOST and CQI EHR systems

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred but can be obtained on-site
• 1-2 years of RN experience in an acute care facility required
• Experience in general, endo, ortho, OB, and GYN surgical cases required, including scheduled and emergency C-sections
• RN degree required
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Visible tattoos are acceptable as long as they meet professional standards
• Clothing with pornographic, foul, or inappropriate imagery is not permitted
• Permanent residence must be outside a 60-mile radius of the facility
