Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a day shift position requiring an active CA RN license and at least 1 year of telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Utilizes Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care and telemetry experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, cardiac drip management (no titration), and non-invasive airway/oxygen management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required
• Two supervisor references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, rapid response coordination, and management of IV and line therapies
• Use of rapid response and code teams as part of standard unit protocol
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position; prior travel experience required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler
