Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and at least one year of acute telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response for telemetry patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Administer IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Manage central and peripheral lines
• Manage cardiac drips (no titration required)
• Perform respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Use non-invasive airway management techniques
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (must be in-hand, no pending certifications)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in telemetry or acute care setting
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry/stepdown level patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous UC Irvine employees must have been gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment; max 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred
• All RTO requests must be confirmed via screenshot (email or text) at time of application
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
