Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, EPIC experience, and at least one year of telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry/PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Use of Rapid Response and Code teams
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
• Central and peripheral line care and management
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration)
• Respiratory support including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• EPIC EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required in-hand: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute care and telemetry specialty required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care for telemetry patients
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and respond to rapid response/code situations
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and blood products as needed
• Manage central and peripheral lines per unit protocol
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE guidelines
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Returning staff must have been gone a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• Max 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract preferred, with none permitted in the first two weeks of the assignment
