Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring at least one year of recent telemetry experience and an active CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Shift days span Sunday through Saturday
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CPI preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in telemetry specialty within the past two years required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be reflected in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Skilled care may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, wound care, and respiratory support such as BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care
• Experience with cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and thrombolytic agents may be required
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO preferred per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
