Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring active CA RN licensure and at least one year of telemetry experience.

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating required
• 13-week contract length

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in-hand at time of application
• Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry/acute care experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration) and administering oxygen via nasal cannula
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to telemetry patients, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response as needed
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams when appropriate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role; prior travel experience is required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is highly preferred, with no RTO allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment
