Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring CA licensure, EPIC experience, and at least 18 months of recent acute care experience.

Details

• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Uses Cerner charting system
• EPIC experience required and must be reflected in work history

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, and CPI Blue Card certifications required in-hand at time of application
• Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Community hospital and LTAC experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, and wound care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac drip management (no titration)
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
• Two supervisor references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care for a Med/Surg/Tele patient population including post-surgical, cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neurological cases
• Monitor and manage patients with isolation precautions and PPE requirements
• First-time travelers are not typically considered for this role unless otherwise noted
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO recommended per 13-week contract
