Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with current CA licensure and at least 18 months of recent telemetry experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 0700-1930
• Floating required
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in-hand for ER and Float Pool nurses (MAB or online CPI not accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
• Minimum 1 year of full-time equivalent experience in telemetry specialty within the past two years
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be documented in work history
• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Perform IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Manage respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
• Support patients with renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal conditions as part of unit scope
• Scrubs not provided; any color accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Previous UC employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler
• RTO requests must be submitted with the application and cannot be changed once sent for manager review
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 RTO days per 13-week contract preferred
