Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring an active CA RN license and at least one year of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU/CCU unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, active and in-hand
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history
• Two supervisor references required
• Skills required include respiratory/thoracic care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ETT and NT suctioning, care of ventilated patients, IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU/CCU including management of critically ill patients on ventilators and vasoactive drips
• Must be comfortable with potential manager interview as part of the process
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days of RTO preferred over the 13-week contract
