Description

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a short-term acute care hospital seeing approximately 170 patients daily of all ages
• Level I stroke and cardiac center and Level III trauma center functioning as a Level II trauma facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required between like units and sister facilities within skill set
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care of ventilated patients, interpretation of ABGs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction management, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
• Central line care/management preferred
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population in a high-volume, high-acuity ER setting
• Largest hospital in the region
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 1 year of ER experience and Epic experience
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted upfront; requests may delay offer processing
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
