Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift hospital contract requiring 2+ years of recent ICU/NICU/ER experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department position
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 12-week contract length
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No floating or on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in employment history

Requirements

• Active state Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• Active certifications required; pending licenses/certifications not accepted
• BLS required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in ICU, NICU, or ER settings
• 2 current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant area within the last year
• At least one travel reference preferred
• EKG test with a score of 80% or higher required before consideration
• On-site EKG test required on Day 1 of orientation, pass/fail

Additional Information

• One week orientation on day shift before transitioning to night shift
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being considered as a traveler
• RTO maximum of 7 days for 13-week contracts
• In-person interview preferred by the hiring manager
