Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/OB RN with combined Med Surg and OB nursing experience and a SD or compact RN license for a rotating day/night acute care assignment.

Details

• Acute care Med Surg/OB unit with 25 beds
• Floats between OB and Med Surg units
• Med Surg patient ratio typically 3-4 to 1 depending on census and acuity
• Able to function independently in the ER and manage up to 5 patients on the Med Surg unit
• Uses EPIC charting system, Sanford One Charge, and Pixis medication system
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• 3 call shifts required within the 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start
• NRP certification required
• TNCC and PALS certification preferred
• 6 months of Med Surg experience within the past year required
• 6 months of OB experience within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide combined Med Surg and OB nursing care
• Complete EPIC computer training, 1 day of OB training, and 1 day of Med Surg training during orientation
• Navy blue scrubs required per facility dress code, no logos, white lab coat or white undershirt permitted
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with prior employment at any Sanford Health facility must have an end date at least 6 months before their submission date
