Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a cardiac cath lab role requiring 2+ years of experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Cardiac catheterization lab setting including diagnostic and interventional cath lab and interventional radiology
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend work required
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals per unit
• On-call required Fridays from 0700-1200
• Uses fluoroscopy, ultrasound, computed tomography, Philips equipment, and PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cath Lab/EP Technologist
• Current ACLS, ARRT-R, and BLS certifications (AHA Traditional only, RQI not accepted)
• Epic charting experience required
• State license required if applicable
• Skilled in procedures such as EKG lead placement, vascular closure systems, cardiac catheterization, PCI, PTCA, hemodynamic monitoring, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Proficiency in sterile field maintenance, equipment setup, and room circulation
• Experience recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, EP studies, and vascular access management
• May assist with genitourinary, abdominal, pelvic, and vascular interventional procedures
• Maintains equipment, manages inventory, and stocks supplies as needed
• Candidates must float to affiliate hospitals as requested; refusal may result in contract cancellation
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required with no exemptions
• RTO must be submitted upfront and should not exceed 2 weeks
• Former employees must have a 6+ month gap before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restriction
