Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a CA RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting at a teaching hospital
• Comfortable managing pediatric patients alongside adult trauma and ED cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (NIHSS and TNCC preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Additional skills include ventilator care, ABG interpretation, BiPAP/CPAP management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Navy blue scrubs provided
• RTO must be submitted with initial profile and cannot be added later; keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance through Talent Management before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
