Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN with a CA license and at least 2 years of ED experience for an evening shift assignment at an academic medical center.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a teaching hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Comfortable caring for pediatric patients in the ED
- Evening shift schedule (3x12 hours, 14:00-02:30)
- 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule required
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
- BSN required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (TNCC and NIHSS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Prior charge nurse experience preferred
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care for adult and pediatric trauma and acute patients
- Navy blue scrubs provided
- Previous travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- RTO must be submitted with initial profile and kept under 7 days per assignment if possible
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance before reapplying
- Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible
