Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience to support a cardiac interventional radiology unit across two facilities.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department, floating between two facility locations
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on weekdays and 1:2 on weekends
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• Weekend call required on a rotating basis, beginning after Friday's shift and ending Monday at shift start
• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Scrubs provided

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience required
• BLS and ARRT-R certification required; ACLS preferred
• Active PA or Compact license required if applicable
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Proficiency in vascular, genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, and neurological IR procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Experience with venous access, central line care, and PICC line maintenance
• Skilled in equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and maintaining a sterile field
• Experience with fluoroscopy, CT, and Philips imaging equipment

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular, abdominal, genitourinary, and neurological interventions
• Responsible for accurate patient monitoring, equipment maintenance, and inventory/supply stocking
• Follows infection control and sterile technique protocols
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Candidates must be willing to accept floating shift rotations between two facility locations
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees must have separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year of assignments within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
