Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echocardiographer with at least 1 year of experience to perform transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms in a Radiology department.
Details
- Radiology department serving both inpatients and outpatients
- Uses Philips ultrasound equipment and Epic EMR
- Monday through Friday schedule, 08:00-16:30
- No call and no weekend requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echocardiographer
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- License required if applicable
- Primary source verification and copy of state-specific license/certificate required
- Proficiency performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms (exercise and pharmacologic)
- Skilled in Doppler and imaging techniques for measuring cardiac structures and assessing heart function
- Experience administering contrast agents and agitated saline
Additional Information
- Position and adjust equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
- Analyze ultrasound data and provide preliminary findings to physicians
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to support patient care
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in echocardiography technology and techniques
