Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Nurse Navigator for an oncology setting requiring CA RN licensure, case management experience, and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work as a Nurse Navigator within an oncology center
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No floating requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with case management and patient navigation required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, patient teaching, pain assessment, and health history review
• Performs office duties such as insurance verification, scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and completing authorization and disability forms
• Handles follow-up phone calls and medication refill requests
• Blue scrubs required
• At least one previous travel assignment required
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
