Description

American Traveler is hiring a PCU RN for a Level 3 Trauma hospital requiring at least one year of experience and a KS or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5
• Weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other units as needed based on facility staffing needs
• No block scheduling greater than three or four shifts

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of PCU experience required, including IV start proficiency
• Meditech charting system experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Negative 13-panel drug screen required within 30 days of lab visit

Additional Information

• Level 3 Trauma acute care hospital with 149 staffed beds
• Scrubs of any color accepted; OR, L&D, and Cath Lab scrubs provided by facility
• Free parking available onsite
• Must report to the lab within 24 hours of signing for required drug screening
• Expect to work some holidays
• RTO must be approved and documented prior to the start of the assignment, with minimal requests preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside within a 60-mile radius to be considered local
