Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment on a 27-bed medical surgical unit requiring a NH or compact RN license and at least 2 years of current Med/Surg experience.

Details

• 27-bed medical surgical unit in a critical access hospital
• 6:1 patient ratio
• Diverse patient population including psych holds, end-of-life care, post-op patients (PLIF, GI surgeries, total joints), SNF patients, and physical rehab patients
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage required if needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NH RN license or Compact license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg experience required
• BSN highly preferred
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
• Med Surg skills checklist required for consideration
• One supervisory signed reference from the past year of employment required
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included for consideration

Additional Information

• Personal scrubs of any color permitted
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Holiday coverage required for two of the following: Thanksgiving and the Friday/weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the Friday/weekend after, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the Friday/weekend after
• No more than 3 days of RTO accepted, and all requests must be submitted prior to consideration
• Scheduling and time-off requests cannot be accommodated after offer or at interview
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered
• Candidates requesting schedule accommodations such as block scheduling will not be considered
