Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Neuro Stepdown position requiring MS/Tele experience, Epic proficiency, and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry stepdown unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour day shifts from 0645-1915
• No on-call requirements
• Weekend requirement of 3 shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holiday availability required
• Float to other MS/Tele units or low acuity ICU as needed

Requirements

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
• Epic charting experience within the last 18 months required
• Must pass Epic competency exam on site
• Skills required include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and neurological/psychiatric care for CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, and traumatic brain injury patients

Additional Information

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care for neuro and surgical telemetry patients
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
• Local candidates and first-time travelers are accepted at the same bill rate
• Travel experience preferred but not required
