Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room with required Level I Trauma experience and a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No floating required
• Weekend coverage required as needed based on department needs
• On-call and holiday coverage required as needed based on department needs
• Must be able to scrub and circulate across multiple service lines
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active PA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• CNOR and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required, 4 years preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Level I Trauma experience required
• General OR experience required; Level I Trauma and Ambulatory OR experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficient scrub and circulate skills required across multiple surgical service lines
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Scrub and circulate for surgical cases across multiple specialties including general, trauma, vascular, gynecology, orthopedics, and more
• Participate in emergency management protocols including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia procedures
• No preferred scrub color specified
• Local candidates accepted at a local rate differential
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Candidates must complete labs within 48 hours of signing
• PA fingerprinting required and must be completed within one week of signing, which may require travel over 100 miles
• Candidates without a PA Childline and fingerprint clearance within the last 12 months must schedule the earliest available appointment to avoid delays
• RTO must be submitted prior to consideration and no additional time off can be accommodated after submission
