Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of RRT experience.

Details

• Respiratory Care unit at a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation
• Provides respiratory care in emergency, intensive care, and therapeutic treatment settings
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required (Fri/Sat)
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Comfortable with ventilators required
• Comfortable with EKGs required
• CRTs will be accepted
• Active MI state license required (out-of-state licenses not accepted; license required if applicable)
• Compact license not accepted
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NBRC

Additional Information

• Provides respiratory care services including invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing, and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Monitors and maintains respiratory equipment and participates in quality assurance and improvement activities
• Black scrubs required as part of dress code
• Prior travel experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered
• Candidates residing within 35 miles of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced travel rate
• Maximum of 5 days of requested RTO
