Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry unit position requiring prior travel experience and pre cardiac cath/port management skills.
Details
- Telemetry unit setting supporting ED boarders awaiting inpatient beds
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Schedule includes 4 weekend shifts and 3 Mondays/Fridays within a 6-week period
- Patient ratio of 1:5-6
- Potential to float between Edgewood and Florence campuses and to Observation/MS/MS Tele units
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Strict no-call policy in place
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1.5 years of telemetry experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Experience with pre cardiac cath and port management required
- EPIC charting experience required
- At least 2 supervisory references required
- COVID (medical/religious exemptions only) and flu vaccination required
Additional Information
- Support ED boarder patients awaiting inpatient beds, floating to observation units as needed when boarder volume is low
- Only one holiday may be requested off for RTO; holiday coverage expected
- Scrubs must be navy blue with no agency or brand logos
- Fingernails must be natural, less than 1/4 inch, polish acceptable
- No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted
- No cafeteria on-site, but refrigerator and microwave provided
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
- Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at a reduced rate
- Travel partners not allowed for this assignment
- Returning staff must be away from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- After 1 year on assignment, a 90-day system break is required before returning as a traveler
- Applicants cannot be in process for or have applied to a permanent role with the health system within the past 6 months
