Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and advanced registry in mammography.
Details
- Outpatient campus setting performing screening, diagnostic, and breast-related procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Uses digital mammography equipment, GE imaging systems, and PACS
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography
- ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
- Advanced registry in mammography required
- License required if applicable
- Experience with screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, 3D mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy assistance, needle localization assistance, and breast ultrasound assistance
- Ability to evaluate images for quality, positioning, and completion prior to radiologist review
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient-centered care
Additional Information
- Perform mammography exams in accordance with MQSA guidelines and physician-driven protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, breast care navigators, providers, and support staff to support early detection and diagnosis of breast disease
- Obtain and verify physician orders and patient identification prior to all procedures
- Review patient history to identify factors impacting image quality or safety
- Assist patients with breast risk assessments
- Ensure patient satisfaction through positive interactions and customer-focused care
- Conduct equipment performance checks per MQSA and ACR regulatory requirements
- Candidates must be nicotine free
