Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Vascular Sonographer with RVT certification and strong GE equipment experience for a night shift assignment in a community hospital setting.

Details

• 200+ bed community hospital setting in Dublin, Ohio
• Performs general, vascular, and abdominal ultrasound exams including abdominal Doppler
• Primarily abdominal Doppler vascular studies; no other vascular work performed
• Uses GE Logiq e10 ultrasound equipment and PACS system
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Night shift schedule: Wed/Thurs 4:00 PM-12:30 AM, Sat/Sun 10:00 AM-10:30 PM (4x10 hours)
• Call required every other weekend from 12:00 AM-10:00 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Travelers are first to float

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, including travel experience
• 1-2 years of ultrasound training from an accredited program
• ARDMS certification in Abdomen or GYN required
• RVT certification required for vascular duties
• RDCS or RCS certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Strong experience with GE ultrasound equipment required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred

Additional Information

• Independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, assessing for pathology based on patient symptoms, history, and prior test results
• Reviews and discusses findings with radiologist to support diagnosis
• Charcoal grey scrubs required
• Lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing; EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing
• Maximum 10 days RTO per contract; no RTO allowed during initial weeks of assignment
• Permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from OhioHealth Grant Medical Center to be eligible for this position
• Attendance policy: more than one call-off may result in termination; no call/no show results in immediate termination
• Previous OhioHealth employees must have a 366-day separation before returning as a traveler; PRN employees may not accept travel assignments while actively employed PRN
