Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (6:45 AM-5:15 PM)
- Call requirements apply
- Epic EMR preferred
- Floating between sister facilities within the state may be required
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Community Hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Must disclose any prior work history with the health system (permanent, travel, or per-diem)
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, ENT, neuro, vascular, gynecology, and robotics
- Skilled in emergency management, fire safety, code response, and universal protocol (time out) procedures
- Experience with equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana table, and Steris systems preferred
- Knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, radiation and laser safety, and wound management required
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period if located outside a 50-mile radius
- Only one submission allowed within the Providence Health System at a time
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
