Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring WA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 325 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- Call responsibilities required
- Uses Epic charting system
- May float between sister facilities
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Scrub and support a wide variety of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, thoracic, urology, gynecology, neurology, ENT, vascular, and robotic-assisted procedures
- Experience with equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana table, and Steris systems is valuable
- Knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol, and wound management expected
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and locations
- Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
