Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years ICU experience and a PA or Compact RN license.

Details

• Medical ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Rotating day and night shifts, 3x12 hours (0645-1915 and 1845-0715)
• Rotating shift cadence may vary, with several weeks on one shift before switching
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Cerner charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Experience with Medical ICU, Tele, ECMO, and CRRT required
• Skills required include IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, blood product administration, and ventilator management
• Experience with ECMO, CRRT, EVD, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols
• Cardiac drip titration and continuous IV sedation/paralytic management experience
• DL, SSN, and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and renal cases
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Must be willing to float within the hospital as needed
• Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years before returning through an agency
• Travelers who complete a cumulative year within the health system must wait two years before returning
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Two supervisor references preferred
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
