Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool position requiring Epic EMR experience and 2 years of recent specialty experience at an academic medical center.

Details

• Med-Surg Float Pool unit within a large academic hospital
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• May be required to float to other units

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA or RQI certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required
• 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital with passing competency score may substitute for 2 years without additional testing
• Competency testing required within 24 hours for candidates with less than 2 years of experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• Minimum of 1 supervisor or manager reference within the past year (charge nurse references not accepted)

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required with only medical exemptions accepted; personal or religious declinations not permitted
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible for this position
• Travel pairs are not accepted
