Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures for a 6-week rapid response assignment requiring neuro IR experience and ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department with 5 suites
- Patient ratio of 2 IR Techs to 1 IR RN
- Equipment includes 4 Siemens bi-plane systems and 1 Siemens single-plane system
- EMR used is Meditech with GE Centricity PACS
- Day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call required 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month with possible holiday coverage
- 6-week assignment duration
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital IR Tech experience
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Neuro interventional experience strongly preferred, including strokes, aneurysms, and SAH
- Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance preferred
Additional Information
- Supports a Comprehensive Stroke Center performing procedures such as strokes, aneurysms, SAH, and DVST
- Supports a Level 1 Trauma Center performing procedures including GI bleeds, embolizations, gastrostomy tubes, and nephrostomy tubes
- Self-motivated personality suited for a fast-paced interventional lab and teamwork-oriented environment
- Must not have gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
