Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures requiring ARRT (R), BLS, and at least 6 months of recent acute care hospital IR experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department with 5 suites
- Day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call required 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with possible holiday coverage
- Patient ratio of 2 IR Techs to 1 IR RN
- Equipment includes 4 Siemens Bi-plane units and 1 Siemens Single plane unit
- EMR systems used are Meditech and GE Centricity PACS
- Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center procedures performed
- Typical procedures include strokes, aneurysms, SAH, DVST, GIB, embolizations, gastrostomy tubes, and nephrostomy placements
Requirements
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital IR Tech experience required within the last 6 months
- Neuro interventional experience preferred, including strokes, aneurysms, and SAH
- Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance preferred
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months

- Fast-paced interventional lab environment requiring a self-motivated, team-oriented individual
- Facility is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Center
- 50 mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
