Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring a CT or compact RN license and 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- 10-bed Medical ICU within a short-term acute care hospital
- Level II Trauma Center with 426 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- Required to work every other weekend and float as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active CT or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I or travel experience)
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience caring for ventilated patients, including HFNC and suctioning
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and titrating vasoactive drips
- Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade
- 1 reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
- Free parking available on-site
- Facility is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the hospital to be eligible
- Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required except for religious or medical exemptions
