Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a strong orthopedic background for a surgical center setting requiring prior travel and Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Operating Room assignment within an ambulatory surgical center with an orthopedic focus
• Day shift schedule of 4x10s or 5x8s
• Must remain until completion of case if it runs past scheduled shift end time
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• Not open to block scheduling
• Epic charting system used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required (1.5 years considered for candidates with Level I trauma or travel experience)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• 1:1 patient ratio experience
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred
• Strong orthopedic surgical background required
• 1 professional reference required

• Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, vascular, urology, robotics, and more
• Scrubs provided in misty green
• Facility is a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center with 1,567 staffed beds
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemption only
• RTO greater than 7 days requires additional approval
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former staff must have a 2-year gap before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates not accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Monthly parking cost of $125 applies
