Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN - Telemetry for a true cardiac unit with Epic EMR experience required and a compact or LA RN license.
Details
- Hospital IMC Cardiovascular unit treating cardiac and telemetry patients (non-stepdown)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1-6:1 depending on staffing
- Day shift schedule, 7AM-7PM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license in state of employment or compact (LA or compact license required)
- BLS certification via AHA required
- ACLS certification via AHA required
- True cardiac unit experience required
- 1 year of nursing experience in related specialty preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Address patients' and families' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
- Provide patient and family education as needed
- Newly hired experienced RNs attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
- Ceil blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate
- Previous non-travel employment at any CHRISTUS facility requires a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment
