Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a weekend-focused schedule with critical care experience in sepsis and ventilator management required.

Details

• Adult Intensive Care Unit within a hospital setting, 30-bed unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders
• Uses Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000 equipment
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Schedule includes every Saturday and Sunday day shift plus one additional weekday shift (3x12s)
• 36 guaranteed weekly hours
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other inpatient areas during low census periods

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Comprehensive patient assessment skills required
• Experience caring for septic patients required
• Experience with mechanically ventilated patients and hemodynamic monitoring devices required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Team-oriented environment requiring flexibility, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Orientation includes first-day modules, Epic training if needed, and one day of unit orientation
• Navy scrubs required; hoodies and non-facility sweatshirts are not permitted
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a reduced bill rate
• EKG testing is required as part of the hiring process for this specialty
