Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring ventilator and PICU experience.

Details

Work in the Pediatric ICU of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule, 7PM-7AM
13-week assignment
Full-time work type

Requirements

Active RN license in TX or compact
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)
Minimum 2 years of ventilator and Pediatric ICU experience required
BSN preferred
Perinatal RN Residency or recent Pediatric setting experience preferred

Additional Information

Provide nursing care using the full nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for pediatric ICU patients
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
New hires are precepted by a designated staff member and must complete organizational and Pediatric Services-specific competency validations
Candidates who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
