Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele Float RN with a compact or PA license for a night shift float pool position requiring at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• MS/Tele Float position working within a hospital setting
• Floats within scope to meet facility needs across Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:8 under a team nursing model
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• NIHSS, TCAR, and TCRN certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:8 required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) preferred
• Experience with pacemakers, pre/post cardiac cath, and pre/post cardiac surgery care preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and Telemetry units, including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Preferred RTO of 5 days or less
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start
