Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level IV Trauma Center position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications and an AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 30-room Emergency Department, all private rooms, including a six-room EDOU observation unit
• Department includes 6 fast track beds staffed by a PA for minor non-urgent issues
• Unit also includes 1 seclusion room and 5 additional monitored rooms
• Level IV Trauma Center acute care setting
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
• Average of 100 patients seen per day
• Supported by 5 techs during peak hours
• Treats all patient types including trauma, cardiac, and neuro cases
• Uses Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• Uses Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 1800-0600
• 36-hour per week guarantee

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), and TNCC
• BSN not required
• Allscripts EMR experience beneficial

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities including trauma, cardiac, and neuro presentations
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs not provided; any color accepted except all black
• Cancellation policy allows up to 3 cancellations per 13-week assignment
