Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Tele RN for a night shift acute care position requiring 2 years of MedSurg experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

Acute care MedSurg unit with telemetry capability on all 10 beds
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Nurse to patient ratios of 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, and 1-4 for pediatric patients based on acuity
Support staff includes tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
Float to all MedSurg units and ICU to cover MedSurg overflow patients
Uses Allscripts EMR

Requirements

Active AZ or compact RN license required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
NIHSS certification required
PALS certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of MedSurg acute care experience required

Additional Information

Trauma Level 3 facility
Any color scrub permitted; scrubs not provided by facility
Nurse managers perform rounds but do not provide direct patient care
Limited to 3 cancellations per 13-week assignment
