Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care rehab setting requiring BLS certification and 1+ years of experience, with pediatric experience highly preferred.
Details
- Acute care setting within Rehab Services - PT department
- Primarily outpatient care with some inpatient weekend rotation or coverage when outpatient volume is low
- Patient load varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
- Common diagnoses include CVA, orthopedic conditions (hip/knee/ankle/shoulder/back/neck), and vestibular disorders
- Uses Cerner EMR
- Day shift schedule of 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts or a mixture of both
- Weekend rotation every 6 weeks with holiday coverage as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- License required if applicable
- Pediatric experience highly preferred
- Strong orthopedic skills required
- Generalist PT skills aligned with basic PT education required
Additional Information
- Patients are scheduled by a secretary based on therapist recommendations
- Department-specific orientation provided
- Dress code requires black scrubs or black collared shirt with khaki pants
