Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of acute and critical care experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at an acute care hospital.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting supporting Emergency Department, Medical and Surgical ICUs, and medical-surgical floors
- Night shift hours from 18:45 to 07:15
- 13-week assignment length
- Diverse patient population across multiple clinical areas requiring advanced airway management and mechanical ventilation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Acute care and critical care experience required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
- License required if applicable
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
Additional Information
- Evaluate patients with respiratory insufficiencies and develop diagnosis-based treatment plans
- Administer advanced respiratory care, manage specialized equipment, and monitor patient conditions in real time
- Adjust care plans based on patient progress and medication response
- Educate patients and families on condition management and connect them with community support resources
- Respond to emergency resuscitation codes as part of the urgent response team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals across multiple departments
