Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with 2+ years of experience and a ME or compact RN license for a day shift travel assignment.
Details
- Provides home health nursing care across a caseload of up to 27 patients
- Supports a home health census in the low 200s
- Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Works one weekend (16 hours) every 4th weekend
- Issued a laptop and cell phone for daily use
- Uses Epic EMR
- No call requirements
- 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (ME or compact) required upon submission
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- PICC line, Portacath, and wound vac therapy management experience
- Pleurx catheter management experience
- Ostomy teaching and management experience
- G-tube and JG-tube teaching and management experience
- Chronic disease teaching and management experience
- Preferred 2 years of med/surg experience
- Driver's License required upon consideration
- 2 professional references required
Additional Information
- Delivers home health nursing care to patients across all levels of home health needs
- Dress code allows scrubs or presentable civilian clothing
- Air pods, laptops, and cell phone usage are prohibited while on duty in the home setting
- Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local, with a reduced bill rate
- Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
- RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this
