Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a minimum of 5 years of OR experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Operating Room unit providing pre-, intra-, and post-operative surgical patient care
• Five 8-hour day shifts per week, typically Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:00 PM
• Arrival required at 6:45 AM for team huddle
• Rotating weeknight and weekend call required
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Experience preferred across General, Orthopedic, Urology, GYN, C-sections, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Dental, and ENT surgical services
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of Operating Room experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS preferred; CNOR a plus
• Epic charting system experience required
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Current Nursys report dated within the past 7 days required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care as part of the surgical team
• Work within a General OR setting supporting a wide range of surgical specialties
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be submitted and disclosed at time of offer to be considered for approval
• Candidate profile must indicate prior employment history with UNC Health, if applicable
