Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a trauma certification and 2+ years of ER experience on night shift.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric populations
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45p-7:15a)
• Every other weekend required, with option to work more
• No on-call responsibilities
• Meditech charting experience not required

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Trauma certification required (TNCC, ATCN, or TCRN)
• Minimum of 2 years ER experience required, 3 years preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience administering emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Triage experience required
• References required for consideration
• PA fingerprinting and PA Childline Abuse Clearance required for all travelers who have not resided in PA for the past two years

• Provide emergency care across general adult and pediatric patient populations
• Identify and report signs of neglect or abuse

• Experience with neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and ortho trauma preferred
• Experience managing ventilated patients and chest tube insertion/management preferred
