Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for Operating Room/Surgery requiring a TX or compact RN license and 1 year of related specialty experience.
Details
- Operating Room/Surgery department within a general surgery unit
- 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, day shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
- Full time, 13-week assignment
- Call requirement of approximately one weekend per month (about 7 days monthly)
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provides nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, unless the position is designated as accepting locals
- Previous CHRISTUS facility employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment with this health system
