Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift position at a Level II Adult Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of adult critical care and emergency department experience.

Details

• Work in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings at a community teaching hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Floating required between Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department
• Epic charting system used (experience preferred)
• Utilizes equipment including Hamilton G5/C6 ventilators, VERO NO system, Philips Respironics V60, Optiflow, Lumis Tx, CoughAssist, The Vest Airway Clearance System, and IPV

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including adult critical care and emergency department experience
• Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required if applicable
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RRT
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in oxygen therapy, bag and mask, ET tube, HFNC, trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator weaning
• Experience with chest physiotherapy (Vest), ABG draws/interpretation, nebulizer treatments, airway management, and tracheostomy care/management
• Pennsylvania fingerprint clearance required, which may involve travel

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care including oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and airway management for critically ill adult patients
• Part of a multidisciplinary critical care team within a Level II Adult Trauma Center affiliated with a major academic health system
• Dark grey scrubs required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a different rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after that point will not be accommodated
